4KIDS: SIAMA'S LIVELY, HANDS-ON AFRICAN MUSICAL EXPERIENCE
Siama and Dallas host an age 0-5 program that's perfect for libraries and day care settings and a special program that's great for kids in school settings. Begin by greeting each other in a variety of languages, then dance and sing along to happy songs, hear fun stories about Siama's rural childhood in DR Congo and enjoy watching puppets animate songs.
In the older kids' program (early elementary and beyond), they learn to sing along in Kikongo, Lingala and Swahili in traditional Congolese style like breathing from the diaphragm in order to produce the big African vocal sound, how to yodel Congolese-style and how to sing in the call-and-response style of the Mbaka people.
4KIDS: SIAMA'S INSTRUMENT PETTING ZOO
Interactive performance/Jam for Kids and Families
This is a great fit for events and festivals with a roving-type format. As Siama and Dallas play and sing catchy songs, kids and their families can pop by to grab a fun instrument to sing and play along.

“I’ve never been to the Congo, but after having Siama perform for our Early Childhood concert series, I feel like I got the chance to live there! I am so grateful for the time and care they took to put together a program that would not only entertain but educate and engage our children and their families.”

"Siama and Dallas provided a wonderfully engaging performance at our Family Art Day event. Children were encouraged to try out the instruments, play along and learn more about the history of different cultures and musical traditions. A perfect way to reach all ages!"
COLLABORATIVE SONGWRITING WORKSHOPS
Siama and Dallas encourage participants through a series of brainstorming and freewriting exercises in order to compose songs on a chosen theme. The new songs can be incorporated into a performance, a recording or both.
This can be a transformative experience for:
- people who'd like to experiment with a new form of self-expression
- groups who'd like to increase their synergy with each other
- people interested in writing new music for a performance
